Two objects are placed close to a corner: one curved metal pipe that once served as the support for an antenna and a flattened beer can. Since the metal pipe it’s not screwed to the floor it shows a lack of stability. At the same time, it holds the flattened beer can. Both objects are leaning their weight against the wall and doing so, they anchor themselves and virtually take over the room. Ethylic Awkwardness involves the place and the public through the minimal placement of two objects, situating the tension on an apparently vulnerable and contradictory scene and generating meaning from something uncomfortable, to make something exceptional out of something banal.
